To become a member of CashForKeys.la, follow these straightforward steps:

1. Complete the Membership Registration Form: This form is essential to start your journey with us.

2. Security Deposits and Fees:
- Registration is free if you opt for us to bid on your behalf.
- The membership fee is $100/$249 USD per year for direct access to different auctions, based on your selection.
- Please note, these payments are processed through CashForKeys.la, and we handle payments to the auctions when setting up your new buyer account.

3. Agree to Policies and Terms:
- It is required that you agree to both CashForKeys.la’s and the respective auction's terms of use and policies of the auction platforms you wish to engage with.

4. Complete Your Registration:
- If you have read our terms and conditions and are ready to sign up, simply click here to fill out the new member registration application.
- If you have not yet read our terms or are not ready to register, you can always find the registration link on our homepage to complete this later.

5. Account Confirmation:
- After submitting your registration form, you will receive an email to the address provided on the form. Please follow the instructions in the email to verify and confirm your email address.
- Within 24 hours of verification, you will receive a confirmation email detailing the status of your membership.

Registration costs are $100 USD annually for IAAI and $249 USD per calendar year for COPART, granting direct bidding access on IAAI.com and copart.com. Prior to obtaining your new buyer number for IAAI or COPART, a security deposit is required. This deposit must remain on your account to maintain its active status.

Security Deposit Requirements Based on Bidding Limits:
- Up to $1,000 US: $300 deposit required; limits you to ONE unit at a time.
- $1,001 to $10,000 US: $1,000 deposit required; limits you to bidding on up to TWO units simultaneously.
- $10,001 to $20,000 US: $2,000 deposit required; limits you to TWO units at a time.
- $20,001 to $50,000 US: 10% of the bid amount, with a minimum of $1,000 per unit.
- Over $50,000 US: 15% of the bid amount, with a minimum of $1,000 per unit.

Please note, CashForKeys.la reserves the right to modify the security deposit amounts and terms without prior notification.

In case of non-compliance with CashForKeys.la’s payment terms by the winning bidder, the security deposit will be forfeited.

Security Deposit Refunds:

Security deposits will be fully refunded in USD upon the cancellation or termination of your membership, provided no outstanding balances exist. CashForKeys.la may choose the method of refund, which can include options such as a cashier's check or wire transfer. Should there be outstanding balances, they must be cleared before processing the refund. Additionally, a $15 US transaction fee will be charged for the refund of the security deposit.

CashForKeys.la Brokerage Fee Structure

Brokerage Fees:
- Self-Bidding: If you choose to bid yourself, our brokerage fee is $150 USD per winning bid.
- CashForKeys.la Bidding Assistance: If we bid on your behalf and win, a fee of $175 USD applies per successful bid.

Vehicle Registration Requirement:
- Vehicles such as boats, 4-wheelers, trailers, or recreational units that require registration with the Iowa DNR must be registered before we reassign ownership to you.

Title Fees:
- Title transfer fees will vary based on the state of purchase and/or Iowa state laws.

Additional Ownership Responsibilities:
- As an account holder, it's your responsibility to adhere to all respective state laws concerning the purchase and sale of vehicles.

Selling Broker Fee:
- If CashForKeys.la facilitates the sale of a unit on your behalf, a selling broker fee of $175 USD will apply.

IAA’s Associated Fees:
- Sale Price Fee: Charged based on the auction sale price of each vehicle for which you are the winning bidder.
- Auction Buyer Fee: This fee varies with the sale price and is applicable to each vehicle purchase.
- Online Bidding Fee: Applicable when using IAA’s online bidding system. For detailed information, consult a CashForKeys.la representative.
- Additional IAAI Fees: These may include a pullout fee among others, varying by facility. It is your responsibility to confirm these fees with the IAAI facility prior to accruing charges.

Tax and Ownership Transfer:
- Any taxes required by federal or state law for the transfer of ownership are the buyer's responsibility.

Credit Services Fee:
- Additional fees may apply when using credit services.

Accepted Payment Methods

Online Payments:
- Credit Card Payments: We accept credit card payments via our website. For transactions exceeding $500 USD, a processing fee of 2.75% will apply. Please note that this fee applies regardless of whether payments are made in full or in installments.

Additional Verification:
For credit card payments exceeding $1000.01 USD, we require:
- A copy of the front of the credit card

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a precise timeline for this process due to external variables beyond our control, including potential delays at the auction or from State agencies involved in re-titling. Typically, the process takes between 1 to 4 weeks, though it can extend beyond this in some instances. Please be aware that we cannot commit to a specific timeframe. As a bidder, it is important to consider these factors as you assume full responsibility for understanding and accommodating potential delays.
